Programme Overview

Academy of Tertiary Studies (ATS) offers a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. This programme has been developed to provide paralegals, persons who are employed in organizations or those seeking to enter the work place with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to perform paralegal services in a  professional manner. The course is endorsed by the Institute of  Paralegals and all students who are registered  with ATS  will become registered  members of the Institute of Paralegals in the UK  and have access to all materials on their website.

The course is designed to be studied in a flexible manner, to suit the needs of today’s working student. At the end of each module, students are given written assignments designed to measure the students understanding of the topic and ability to apply principles of law covered during the sessions to situations. There will also be a practical evaluation conducted during the course.

Entry Requirements

All applicants must be 18 years and over.

ATS Registration Requirements

• 1 Copy of electronic birth certificate or passport or national ID card.

Is the only professional Institute for Paralegals in the UK. It sets   professional standards and provides recognition for those working in the paralegal sector it was originally  incorporated in 2003 and granted Institute status by the Secretary of State in 2005.
