University of London
BSc Information Systems and Management
Programme Overview
The study of information systems relates to how organisations and societies use and exploit new technologies for information handling and transmission, in particular the computer.
Information Systems within this degree are particularly focused on how computers are used within business and administrative organisations. It is therefore natural to combine the study of Information Systems with the study of Management.
This degree is likely to give graduates a distinct advantage within all kinds of public and private organisations. It is especially useful for those who wish to work for any of the software houses or in systems management. It is also useful for a career in operations management within a commercial or investment bank, or for management consultancy specialising in Information Technology and Information Systems.
